What are the benefits to the community?
- Double the South Harbour moorage space for the commercial working harbour and for transient recreational boaters.

What are the total costs and funding sources?
- South Harbour: $6.04 million consisting of $4.3 million in grants and approximately $1.9 million in borrowing.
How will this project affect my taxes?
- Annual debt service of $124,000 over 25 years will be met through taxation.
What are the environmental impacts?
- Initial Seawalk construction disturbed marine habitat and so the City provided environmental compensation by creating a salt water marsh in the South Harbour, in accordance with Fisheries & Oceans Canada requirements.
What are the timelines and next steps?
- 2005, planning for first stage float reconfiguration completed. Harbour expansion is currently in planning stages; March 2011 is the target completion date.
