What are the total costs and funding sources?
  • $3,271,000, consisting of approximately $2,678,000 million
  • funded by grants and $593,000 in short-term borrowing.


How will this project affect my taxes?
  • Annual debt service of $126,000 over 5 years will be met through taxation.




















What about BC Ferries access and South Harbout Parking?
  • The City will coordinate with BC Ferries to minimize disruptions. BC Ferries is also contributing funds towards the infrastructure.
  • Parking access will be maintained for the working South Harbour.


What are the timelines and next steps?

  • 2000: The City acquired Westview Wharf and began the land infill project.
  • Current status: Land tenure issues have been resolved and detailed design is near completion.
  • Spring 2010: Construction will commence.
